Wilshire United Methodist Church is a very popular site for weddings and gets booked up early, so couples need to plan a date up to nine months ahead in order to be guaranteed of the day and time they want. The 4 pm time slots are always the first to be taken.
We can book as far as 24 months ahead. There will never be more than two sanctuary weddings in a day and these ceremonies are never less than four hours apart. You will not bump into another Bride and Groom on you wedding day.
In order to accommodate the many couples requesting weddings at Wilshire, we do not ordinarily schedule weddings at 1, 2, or 3 pm. Therefore, the times of 11 am and 4 pm (or later) are the most popular. We also schedule weeknight weddings.
We are usually unable to accommodate Sunday afternoon weddings with receptions at Wilshire because of our multiple Sunday worship services and concerts. On Sundays, weddings must start t 5 pm or later.
Rehearsals are usually scheduled on the Thursday or Friday night before the wedding at 6, 7 or 8:30 pm.
